Masterpieces of choral and solo vocal music resound in beautiful Hochstein Performance Hall, Friday, March 15th at 7:30 P.M. The Mass in C Major is Beethoven at his Romantic best, fiery, supremely beautiful and heart-wrenching. Hear it together with vocal fireworks of the youthful Mozart: his solo motet "Exsultate, jubilate" and the sprightly offertory "Benedictus sit Deus." As a counterpart to the Teutonic fire. Gabriel Faure's serene, witty and gorgeous "Pavane" opens the second half. There will be much to enjoy, including the solo performances of Alisa Peterson, soprano, Jessica Ann Best, mezzo soprano, Matthew Valverde, tenor and Derrick Smith, bass. Eric Townell, Conductor, leads the ROS Orchestra. Tickets are available at http://rossings.org/tickets/tickets-ros.htm or by calling the ROS Office, 585.473.4704.
