Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias come with more than just memory loss. The changes in the brain also mean changes in behavior, such as repetitive actions, aggression, wandering, agitation and suspicious thoughts. Learn possible reasons for these behaviors and how to handle these situations when they arise.
This free class is part of the Neighbor Next Door caregiver education series offered by the Alzheimer's Association, Rochester & Finger Lakes Chapter, in partnership with the Monroe County Library System. It is open to caregivers, family and friends of those with Alzheimer's or other dementias. Registration is required. In-home respite care for your loved one with dementia is available during the classes with one week’s notice. To register and to arrange respite care, call (800) 272-3900 or go to alz.org/rochesterny.
