March 29, Friday, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM Once considered to be the “king” of waterfowl, the American Black Duck is in severe decline. Participants will explore the reasons for this decline through games and activities. Then, we’ll take a trip to explore another birding hotspot in the Montezuma Wetlands Complex and participate in an American Black Duck survey. This educational program for children ages 5-12 teaches environmental awareness, science, and appreciation of nature through the study of birds. Fee: $7/child. Space is limited.
