Wildlife Educators Coalition is composed of an ever expanding group of exotic animal handlers who have been working in this field for some years. We are experienced in the business as well as the art of wildlife education.
Our motto: Wildlife is the heartbeat of the earth.
Mission Statement: We exist to introduce children of all ages to the wonders of the natural world through their exciting personal experience with our animal ambassadors. This unique connection will arouse a sense of respect, affection and responsibility towards all the citizens of the Earth, regardless of species. We have over 100 animals who participate in our programs.
Our presentations include an introduction our animals, name, personal history and funny stories. Then we talk about their wild counterparts, the lives they lead and the impact they have on our world. Last, we give the audience some ideas of how they can get closer to nature and how they can help protect it. We also include interactive materials to draw the students into the program. These programs fulfill several of the New York State Educational Standards in Science.
