Monroe's Restaurant (formely Northfield's Restaurant) has continued the tradition in the historic Spring House. Enjoy our famous patio, restaurant, bar, bakery, catering or banquet facilities.
Monroes restaurant opened on March 1st, 2011. The owners are Katherine Mott and Dr. Kenneth D. Nozik. Katherine and Dr.Nozik are the founders of "Katherine's Gourmet Creations", a bakery and cafe that originated in Bushnell's Basin and was moved into the lower level of the Springhouse upon the opening of the restaurant. The bakery was then renamed Katherine's on Monroe's and held its grand opening a week after Monroe's.
Dr. Kenneth D. Nozik is a prominent dentist in the Rochester area. Katherine has been cooking along side her grandmother and mother since she was a small child and ran a successful catering buisness before opening the bakery. Katherine's experience with her family's recipes is shown throughout the Monroes menu. Katherine and Dr. Nozik had been friends for many years before making the decision to open a restaurant, bar, bakery & cafe. The Springhouse became the perfect venue for their dream to come true.
